Social Marketing For Link Building

One of the benefits of being active within the various social sites is your ability to turn social marketing into a link building exercise.

Social marketing as all about connecting with individuals in similar genre’s to your own. As you build up credibility you will find more and more individuals visiting your site pages. When they do, they will sometimes bookmark your page. Every time your page gets bookmarked, it is gaining a new link.

Not all sites use the ‘do follow’ option for these links, however, a link is a link and while your pages link is on their list of likes, there is always the possibility that one of their friends will see the link and follow it. If the site does use the do follow option, that is another ranking link added.

The other benefit you have is that as your pages spread around the communities, the possibility of someone linking from their pages to yours increases.

There are two keys to successfully gaining these back links. The first is the creation of content that is worthy of being linked to. No one wants to link to a poor site. The second key is the provision of social site buttons.

All the social sites have buttons that can be added to your site pages. This almost acts as prompt to the reader to press the button and add your page to their list of favorite pages. Social marketing may only bring a small amount of regular traffic however the increase in links could he a lot.

Good article, thank you. Social marketing services are a great way to build links and drive traffic to a website. Therefore I added social services buttons to my blog to provide the readers with the ability to bookmark the articles they liked.
