New Social Networking For Small Business Site
Writing by Social Marketing Journal on Thursday, July 3, 2008 Comments (1)
There is a new kid on the block when it comes to small business social networking and it comes packed with a lot of features. Sta.rtUP.Biz seems to offer a lot of opportunities along with a lot of help.
Their forum is one of the features with free legal advice, free search engine optimization advice and even advice on getting finance and finding partners.
There is a free business tools section and you can create your own page. There are also some helpful videos. Did I mention it was FREE. Unlike many sites, signup took about 30 seconds start to finish – all on the one page.
You can upload your photo and select a theme for your profile page. Looking at the source code I couldn’t see a nofollow on your webpage link which maybe another bonus. You can also include your RSS feed on your profile page.
First impressions of the site are good so if you are a small business owner, or are contemplating a small business, this could be a great start to social networking activities. Getting in early on sites such as this can often be quite beneficial over the long term.

I’m a member of Sta.rtUP.Biz and they do have a very nice community. I would also recommend Schmoozii business networking for small business or marketing professionals.
